Snowshoehiking week in the Val Müstair/ Switzerland

Val Müstair is rightly called one of the most beautiful alpine valleys. The unique, natural landscape has remained completely untouched and the villages have held their original character.
In Valchava (1440m), we are invited to stay at charming Central Hotel ‘La Fainera’, which was built in the 17th century as a farm house, in Engadin style. Today, a stylish house, combined with a kind hospitality, awaits us. Culinary titbits and regional specialities from organic farms are served in an appealing ambience. The former hay stall of the farm has been turned into a wellness oasis for relaxation. After a day in the snow, the bio-sauna invites you to relax and rejuvenate. On request, you can have any type of massage, as well as hay baths.
Our diverse snowshoe hikes will take us along easy routes to stunning lookouts. We will be enchanted by the unique landscape of Val Müstair.
The hike to the picturesque village of Lu and a sledge ride down into the valley, will be a special pleasure.
We will also see the cultural treasures of Val Müstair, such as the Benedictine cloister, St. John Monastery, which dates back to the 8th century and is now UNESCO heritage listed. Its imposing architecture and early medieval fresco style, as well as its internal museum, make a visit especially worthwhile.

Snowshoehiking Week in Gsieser valley / South Tirol

Spend a diversified snowshoe hiking tour in Gsieser valley. Enjoy pure nature, movement and panoramic views!
We’ll stay in the charming village of St. Magdalena, located at a sunny altitude of 1400m. The comfortable 3 star hotel is an ideal starting point for interesting snowshoe hiking tours in close vicinity. Away from ski-runs and hectic, we will see the best part of the Gsieser Valley. In one day we can take a hike from hut to hut and have a fun toboggan ride, or we could just enjoy a relaxing day. A visit to historical town of Bruneck is also tempting.
The three Hofmann-sisters run their hotel in a casual way and value comfort and a cosy atmosphere. After a day of hiking, the sauna and whirlpool are available to you and in the evening, the cosy ‘Zirbenstube’ invites you to enjoy excellent South Tirol traditional food.

Snowshoe tour on Fanesalp / Dolomites

Fanesalp is located south of Bruneck, in the heart of the Dolomites/Italy. Diverse snow shoe tours will take us through Fanes-Senes National Park to the summit of Heiligkreuzkofel (2907m), Monte Cavallo (2912 m) and Fanessattelspitze (2655 m).
With some luck, we will be able to spend sunny snowshoe days in this vast and untouched touring region. In one day, we’ll do a short hike in the morning and in the afternoon, take part in a fun toboggan ride to the Restaurant Pederü, or just enjoy the sunny terrace in front of the hut.
Our base will be ‘Lavarella-hut’, which is well known for its friendly service and atmosphere. Delicious local food will give us strength, and the small sauna invites you to relax after a hiking tour.
